Creating a Neighbourhood Health Campus for Coventry

Plans are under way to transform a group of existing healthcare buildings in Coventry city centre into a modern, integrated Neighbourhood Health Campus. The aim is to bring more care closer to home and make better use of the current estate.
The City of Coventry Health Campus brings together three neighbouring buildings: the City of Coventry Health Centre, the Paybody Building and Swanswell Point. Project partners are working to a single shared plan, so that the three buildings work together as one campus around the patient journey.
The programme is led by University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, NHS Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board and Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust, working with Arden Estate Partnerships, Community Health Partnerships and gbpartnerships.
The campus is built around a simple patient pathway: diagnose, treat and manage, and support.
Bringing related services together in one place will make it easier for patients to get the care they need, reduce unnecessary trips to hospital and support Coventry’s Integrated Neighbourhood Teams. Coventry is one of the national forerunner sites for neighbourhood health, and the campus is a flagship part of that work.
Currently in its early stages with a high-level masterplan, proposed changes will be delivered in phases, so patients can start to benefit as early as possible. Further updates will be shared as the project develops.
